‘Dis-Topia’ the Musical

“Dis-topia,” a new original musical written by Matthew Deegan, Robby Good and Abby Torrence, features 18 original musical numbers, a 16-person cast and a live 25-person orchestra. The frozen head of Walt Disney has been revived, and the very first thing he does is build his final dream — EPCOT, a futuristic city where he has complete control to try make the ideal community. A recent college graduate and self-proclaimed “Disney Adult,” Vera Nelson, is thrilled to move to Disney World with her father, but when she gets entangled with a group of anti-Disney revolutionaries known as the Lost Boys, she must attempt to retain her innocence while reconciling with the man her hero has become — and may always have been. Tickets ($15) available at www.the661aep.org/dis-topia.
