Free Concert: Classic Cole Porter

Cole Porter was a famous American songwriter from the 1920s, ’30s and ’40s who wrote songs for over 30 stage and film musicals. A contemporary of George Gershwin and inspiration for Richard Rodgers, his work set standards of sophistication and wit, which was seldom matched in American musical theater. The voice students of professor Joshua Wentz at Cal State Northridge will perform these classic songs from popular musicals, such as “Anything Goes” and “Kiss Me Kate” as part of the church’s 2023 “Spring Concert Series.” Free event.
