Club 507 at the American Legion Post, 24527 Spruce St., Newhall 

Hot Roux, a Louisiana Cajun blues band, plays live at Club 507 in the American Legion Post 507. Drummer Jerry McWorter serves up spicy Louisiana blues mixed with swampy rock ‘n’ roll. In Louisiana parlance, a “roux” is a base sauce made of spices, flour and butter. These musicians serve up a tangy smorgasbord of straight blues to rockabilly with a generous side of swampy Cajun flavors mixed in their rock ‘n’ roll. Doors open 4 p.m., complimentary dance lesson 4:15 p.m., band plays 5-7:30 p.m. Full bar and dinner available for purchase. Admission $20 at the door.
