Special Olympics ‘Spring Games’

Special Olympics Southern California is scheduled to host the Santa Clarita Spring Games and plans to bring together athletes with intellectual disabilities from across the region for a full day of basketball and bocce competitions, celebrating athletic achievement, inclusion, and community support. The opening ceremony begins at 9 a.m., and anyone is welcome to attend to offer support to the athletes. Athletes will compete in divisions based on age and ability, supported by coaches, families and volunteers. Local residents are invited to participate by volunteering or attending as spectators to cheer on the athletes. Volunteers assist with event operations such as scorekeeping, team guidance, and award ceremonies. More information: sosc.org.
