Trailhead at 29889 San Francisquito Canyon Road, Santa Clarita
Runners can choose from a 10-kilometer, half-marathon, or 50k ultra distance. Trail course takes you up to the peaks and along the ridgelines with panoramic views, then into the canyons through the hills of Valencia. First race starts at 6:15 a.m. Tickets ($129-$202) available at valenciatrailrace.com.
