A person was declared deceased after the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a report of an unconscious person in a vehicle on Friday in Canyon Country, according to a Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station official.

The medical emergency was reported on the 21000 block of Soledad Canyon Road at approximately 12:24 p.m., according to Sgt. Ryan Elsee with the SCV Sheriff’s Station.

Reports indicated that a male was inside a vehicle passed out and when Fire Department personnel responded to the scene they administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation, he added, but attempts failed and authorities declared the individual deceased.

No foul play was suspected, and no additional information was available at the time of this story’s publication.

The identity of the person was not immediately available, pending legal next-of-kin notification.
