The Signal’s eighth annual SCV Hoops Finale is Thursday night at Saugus High.
The evening features a high school senior girls basketball game at 5 p.m., with a senior boys game to follow at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $5 at the door, with all proceeds going to benefit special education programs through the William S. Hart Union High School District’s WiSH Education Foundation.
At halftime of the girls game, there will be a girls three-point contest, and in between games, there will be a boys three-point contest.
The winner of the boys contest will take on former Laker and The Master’s University alum Mike Penberthy in a final round of treys.
A dunk contest will be held at halftime of the boys game. As of press deadline, Saugus’ Zach Phipps and Anthony McIntyre and Golden Valley’s Josh Jehnings had signed up to take part.
The girls game will pit CIF-Southern Section Division 1AA Player of the Year Kayla Konrad and three of her Valencia teammates against seven players from Canyon, the team the Vikings beat in the D1AA title game earlier this month.
