Dozens of toilet paper rolls blocked numerous lanes on Monday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol officials.
A Ford F-350 pickup truck’s cargo bed carrying three cases of toilet paper fell out of the vehicle causing the toilet paper to scatter all over the southbound 5 Interstate Freeway near Calgrove Boulevard, according to CHP Officer Eric Larsen.
A Sig alert was issued for at least an hour while Caltrans picked up the mess that blocked several lanes during the mid-day commute, said Larsen.
No injuries were reported.
