Two men were arrested on suspicion of felony charges related to domestic violence calls within a 12-hour period early this week in separate incidents in Saugus and Stevenson Ranch.
On Monday, at around 1 p.m., the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station received a report that a man had pushed a woman out of a moving car on Bouquet Canyon Road, according to an email from Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the SCV Sheriff’s Station.
“The victim and suspect are in a dating relationship” and the man reportedly grabbed the woman’s cell phone and smashed it, according to Miller’s email.
Deputies found the man, identified as a 40-year-old from Los Angeles, on the 28000 block of Newhall Ranch Road in Valencia. He was arrested on suspicion of felony charges for robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
The deadly weapon in this case was the car, according to Miller’s email. The 40-year-old was booked at the SCV Sheriff’s Station, where he remains in custody as of the publication of this story, with bail set at $100,000.
The victim was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
In a separate incident, at around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday deputies responded to the 25200 block of Steinbeck Avenue after receiving a call from a woman who said her boyfriend had hit her.
