News release
Who says pumpkin picking has to happen on land? The city of Santa Clarita invites families to celebrate Halloween with a unique twist on a fall tradition at the Floating Pumpkin Patch on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center.
Instead of searching through a traditional pumpkin patch, participants can pick their perfect pumpkin right from the pool, said a news release from the city.
Those who prefer to stay dry can have a lifeguard scoop one out for them.
The celebration continues beyond the pool with a costume contest, lawn games and activity booths for children ages 3 to 16. Families are encouraged to dress in their favorite Halloween costumes and enjoy an evening of seasonal activities.
The Floating Pumpkin Patch is free to attend. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to support the Santa Clarita Food Pantry and help local families in need. The Santa Clarita Aquatic Center is located at 20850 Centre Pointe Parkway.
