On August 23, 2016, Santa Clarita’s City Council approved installing a granite monument which will honor 50 SCV residents who perished in war from WWII to present, however their approval required community funding.

Through the generosity of 103 contributions from SCV residents and beyond, $30,786 of the grass roots goal of $50,000 has been achieved – that’s 62 percent of the memorial tribute’s goal.

Readers can support this project by sending checks to: SCV Veterans Memorial, Inc., c/o Eternal Valley Memorial Park & Mortuary, 23287 Sierra Highway, Newhall, California 91321. Attention:  Fred Gruchalla, Treasurer.
