A child was hit by a car in Castaic and taken to the hospital Monday afternoon with undisclosed injuries. The injuries, however, are not believed to be life-threatening.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department were dispatched to the incident shortly after 3:30 p.m. for reports of a child hit by a car on Hillcrest Parkway at Mallorca Place.
“There was a request for an ambulance,” Fire Department spokeswoman Vanessa Lozano said.
A child was seen by one woman at the scene being secured to a stretcher and placed in an ambulance.
Firefighters from two fire stations in Castaic responded to the incident, some of whom went with the ambulance to the hospital, one firefighter said.
The identity, age, and gender of the child was not disclosed.
