A man wanted for attempted murder was served an arrest warrant on the 31000 block of Castaic Oak Lane Saturday afternoon and was cooperatively taken into custody.

The 27-year-old male was suspected of an attempted murder that occurred in the Van Nuys area on Jan. 11.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Van Nuys division, investigators and SWAT units from the metropolitan division of LAPD were present in Castaic to serve the warrant around 4:30 p.m., according Officer Mike Lopez, a media relations public information officer with LAPD.

“When you serve a warrant for an attempted murder suspect, you go out with a pretty good platoon,” said Lopez.

The suspect was being held at Van Nuys Jail as of 11 a.m. on Sunday.
