Man hurt in 3-vehicle crash near Pyramid Lake

A man was injured and taken to the hospital Thursday morning following a three-vehicle traffic collision near Pyramid Lake.

The multi-vehicle crash happened about 10 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5, just north of Vista Del Lago Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department were dispatched to the crash at 10:03 a.m., Fire Department Inspector Gustavo Medina told The Signal Thursday.

“This was a traffic collision involving three vehicles,” he said.  “We transported one patient to a local area hospital.”

The man left the scene in an ambulance about 10:30 a.m., Medina said.

The crash reportedly involved a white van, a black vehicle and a third vehicle.
