A 38-year-old woman was arrested on misdemeanor offenses after sheriff’s deputies allegedly found drugs and a loaded handgun in her vehicle.
Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station patrolling the area around Castaic on Tuesday “spotted a vehicle in a parking lot on 31400 block of Ridge Route Road that had both doors open,” a Sheriff’s spokeswoman told The Signal Thursday.
“Because of the late hour, 11:39 p.m., they stopped to check on the welfare” of the occupant, she said.
Angela Anderson, described as a transient from Castaic, was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a loaded, concealed firearm and in possession of controlled substance, specifically prescription narcotics that were not prescribed to her.
