Residents are encouraged to be prepared for road closures and plan transportation accordingly, during the City of Santa Clarita’s 24th annual Cowboy Festival in Old Town Newhall, from Friday, April 21 to Sunday, April 23.

The 2017 Cowboy Festival, taking place at the William S. Hart Park Event Area on Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23, is expected to draw thousands of visitors to the area from around California and beyond. During specific hours each day, Newhall Avenue, from Market Street to the round-a-bout, will be closed for festival transportation and set up.  Please plan a different route in advance if the following times conflict with your personal transportation needs:

  • Friday, April 21 – 2:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 22 – 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 23 – 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The City greatly appreciates residents’ cooperation, and is working to make the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival a great time for all. For more information regarding Cowboy Festival events and to purchase advance tickets, please visit CowboyFestival.org.
