A verbal altercation at a bar led to shots being fired on the 18300 block of Soledad Canyon Road early Saturday morning, according to sheriff’s officials.

An individual was coming to pick up his friend from the bar around 1 a.m. on Saturday when the incident occurred.

At least one of the men got into a verbal altercation that led to shots being fired.

“They got into some sort of verbal altercation,” said Sgt. Michael Konecny with the SCV Sheriff’s Station.

The shots missed and the alleged shooter jumped into his pick-up truck and traveled up Sierra Highway.

The driver fired at least one more round at a vehicle before he was unable to be located.
