The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station is working to make Santa Clartita safer for all motorists and evidence of this was seen on Friday.
Deputies issued 38 citations on Friday, 37 of which were for excessive speed and one of which was issued for a motorist who almost struck a pedestrian, according to Public Information Officer Shirley Miller with the SCV Sheriff’s Station.
“As part of the joint mission of SCV Sheriff’s and the City of Santa Clarita, we will continue our proactive traffic enforcement efforts to make the roads safer for all,” said Miller in an email.
Moreover, according to a Facebook post from the SCV Sheriff’s Station, California Highway Patrol was conducting traffic enforcement on San Francisquito Canyon Road on Friday. The CHP officer wrote 14 tickets in a short period times. Two motorists were pulled over while going 90 mph and 93 mph.
