Amber alert issued for abducted 1-month-old baby

Local California Highway Patrol officials issued an amber alert Friday for a man who allegedly abducted a one-month-old baby from Fort Tejon.

The CHP officials issued the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, naming Jefferson Gomes as the baby taken,

The infant was last seen in a 2007 Chevrolet 2500, White, pickup truck, bearing the California license plate #02390P1.

The child was abducted by the suspect, according to the CHP, north of Castaic and just south of the Kern County line.

The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.

The alert was issued in the hope someone will spot the vehicle and notify law enforcement.
