Spilled pallets prompted a brief closure in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5, near Highway 126, on Thursday.
The spill was reported at 9:46 a.m. per California Highway Patrol spokesman Josh Greengard.
“(The report) says there were pallets across the whole freeway,” Greengard said. “It looks like they dropped from a semi truck.”
CHP officers shut down the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes as a precaution.
A big rig driver pulled over to assist CalTrans, which was clearing lanes as of 10:19 a.m. However, it was not his cargo that spilled, he was just assisting, per CHP.
A two-lane closure was cancelled by 10:45 a.m. as the road was clear, Greengard added.
