Valencia High School alumnus Max Homa took home his first career PGA Tour win on Sunday at the Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Homa finished with a total score of 269 over the four-day event, finishing 15-under par and separated by three strokes over runner-up Joel Dahmen.
Homa started the first round with a 2-under par of 69, then catapulted to the top of the leaderboard with a score of 63 in the second round. He carded a score of 70 in the third round, then brought home the victory going 4-under par on Sunday.
He finished the event with 20 birdies, which was tied for second most. In a dominating second round, Homa had eight birdies and no bogeys. He only had five bogeys total throughout the competition, tied for first.
