AMS Fulfillment, a Valencia-based third-party fulfillment company, announced Tuesday that it has acquired EchoData Group.
Like AMS, the Pennsylvania and Delaware-based fulfillment services company, which has been in operation for 36 years, supports complex order fulfillment programs across multiple sales channels.
With EchoData, AMS can offer a bi-coastal environment for clients and further enable clients who are able to carry inventory on both coasts to reduce delivery time and cost, making AMS well-positioned as a global competitor in e-commerce, warehousing and fulfillment.
This acquisition also allows AMS to step into the new phase of growth that was anticipated when AMS was acquired by Fort Point Capital, a private equity firm specializing in logistics, in May 2019.
As the logistics sector of the global economy continues to grow, Fort Point Capital President Jay Catlin spoke of the company’s intention to expand.
“EchoData is ideal for AMS in so many respects,” Catlin said in a prepared statement. “We have been working closely with EchoData for the past two years as our exclusive partner on the East Coast, providing bi-coastal fulfillment for several clients from both companies. With regard to the mission of the company, EchoData is seen as a good fit for AMS as it continues its commitment to “do good” as a B-Corporation and for its clients and shareholders.
