Due to the restrictions still in place prohibiting large gatherings and concerts, Valencia Jazz & Blues Concert officials have decided to cancel the 2020 series.
Set to begin June 19 and run weekly through Aug. 7, the concert series would have been celebrating its 21st consecutive season.
The free concert series was started in 1999 by the series’ owner and producer Barbara Myler as a way to engage the community, featuring national and internationally recognized jazz and blues artists.
“The safety of our event participants and our community remains our highest priority,” Myler said in a prepared statement. “As the community continues to reopen, I’m hoping to see you around town. Please keep connected as we post memories, updates and information – looking forward to the time we can all be together again.”
