I have three comments on Lois Eisenberg’s letter Saturday, Sept. 13:

First, I don’t think anybody worries about cancer from windmills.

Second, my wife and I visited the Netherlands’ historic Kinderdijk windmills a few years ago. We were shown how the wind energy is used to MILL grain. Our tour guide admonished us for calling our wind TURBINES windmills; they mill nothing! Lois uses “windMILLS” 10  times in her letter and uses wind turbines once. Let’s try to use the accurate term.

Third, I think you’ll find that most wind turbines are not made in the U.S. Lois’ claim about jobs is mainly for installation and maintenance; most are built elsewhere.

Now, here’s my take on climate change: Al Gore suckered us; carbon dioxide does NOT cause global warming. The trillions of dollars spent combating carbon dioxide were wasted. Let’s resume fossil fuels and increase nuclear. Artificial intelligence server farms demand HUGE amounts of electricity; wind turbines will not supply enough for this growing demand.
