A man was arrested on suspicion of evading and failing to yield on the southbound State Route 14 and Golden Valley Road on Saturday morning, according to officials with the California Highway Patrol Newhall-area Office.

The suspect was driving a white Toyota Prius when CHP officers witnessed the man driving erratically, according to Officer Erik Larsen with CHP Traffic Management.

The pursuit began around 7:33 a.m. when the man was driving on railroad tracks, speeding, and driving on the wrong side of an off-ramp, Larsen said.

The pursuit ended about seven minutes later with the man being tasered and taken into custody on the 21700 block of Centre Pointe Parkway, according to Larsen.
