Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station conducted a welfare check in Canyon Country earlier this week and detained a man on suspicion of carrying approximately 3,000 lethal doses of fentanyl, according to a social media post by the SCV Sheriff’s Station.
According to the post, “a caller reported a man slumped over in a parked vehicle on Evron Avenue. When [the] deputy arrived, the man regained consciousness and claimed he was fine, but a bag of meth sitting next to him told a different story.”
Upon inspecting the vehicle, deputies uncovered cocaine, nitrous oxide and drug paraphernalia, in addition to the fentanyl, according to the post.
The suspect was arrested on multiple misdemeanor and fentanyl charges, according to the post.
