Deputies: Woman throws rocks, arrested on suspicion of assault

A 41-year-old Bakersfield woman was arrested on suspicion of assault after throwing rocks at a man in connection with a report of a domestic violence incident on the 23000 block of Drayton Street in Saugus on Wednesday, according to an official with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. 

A witness reported seeing a woman chasing a man and throwing rocks at him, some of which struck the victim, according to an email statement by Shirley Miller, a spokeswoman for the station. 

The woman was arrested on suspicion of felony assault charges and the victim declined medical treatment at the scene, according to Miller’s statement. 

The woman was transported to the station jail, where she was booked and remains in custody without bail as of the publication of this story, Miller’s statement said.
