The U.S. Constitution is arguably the most well-thought-out and researched document ever produced by modern man, and it is certainly no accident that the First Amendment to that document protects freedom of speech from intrusion and restriction by the federal government.
Quelling the speech of those we disagree with is what happens in dictatorships, NOT in free societies.
We learn nothing and never grow as human beings when we live in echo chambers and only listen to and associate with others who agree with us.
I believe Charlie Kirk would have agreed with this 100% and his lifelong work proved that out.
