One person was transported and two people were injured after a three-vehicle traffic collision on Valle Del Oro and Newhall Avenue on Tuesday evening, according to officials with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

It appeared as if a Toyota Camry rear-ended an Infiniti and a Hyundai waiting at the red light, and all three vehicles were traveling in the same direction westbound on Newhall Avenue toward Railroad Avenue, according to observations on the scene.

Deputies were dispatched to the collision at 7:41 p.m. and arrived five minutes later, according to Deputy Nicolas Marinelli with the station.

The driver of the blue Hyundai mentioned that he saw the Camry from the rear mirror swerving lanes at high speeds. The drivers of the Infiniti and the Hyundai declined ambulance transportation, and the driver of the Camry was transported due to lacerations to his left arm, according to observations from the scene.

Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were dispatched at 7:44 p.m. and arrived on the scene at 7:49 p.m., according to Kaitlyn Aldana with the Fire Department.

However, the Fire Department had no records of a transport, Aldana said.

A deputy helped with traffic control and later helped the tow truck drivers clean up spilled fuel. All traffic lanes were reopened at 9:20 p.m., according to observations at the scene.
