Jonathan Kraut, in response to your (Aug. 12) diatribe against President Donald Trump, I have a few words. Mr. Kraut, if you read The Signal’s Opinion page, namely the letters to the editor section, from one American voter to another all I can say to you regarding your opinion of what Trump is doing is that it’s obvious that you’re biased. I say that because my own bias tells me what Trump’s doing is good, and I’m not alone in that determination. There are millions of us who are just as biased as you are, but there are more of us, which is why Trump won the popular vote. I’ll admit he’s not perfect. Nobody’s perfect, not even the shiniest stars on your side of the galaxy, but he’s a lot more energetic and effective than any Democrat I’ve seen. Hell, the man is actually doing things! You may not like what he’s doing, but who cares?

Why don’t you just stop complaining? Trump is going to be our president for the next three and a half years. We’re only six months in and you’re already blue in the face. Is this what you plan to do for the next three and a half years? Do you think, by your complaining, that you might somehow succeed in changing Trump’s policies, that or the minds of the tens of millions who voted for him and still support him? Incidentally, support for Trump is incrementally growing, while your side’s is gradually shrinking (louder doesn’t mean more numerous), due in large part to the incessant whining, which is what lost the election for Kamala Harris — given over $1 billion and she couldn’t formulate a “message” worth listening to.

So, what are you going to do if, at the end of his term, Trump is replaced by someone EXACTLY like himself?
