Democrats are refusing to vote for a clean resolution, the exact same one they voted for in March, to fund the government at the same levels as when Joe Biden was president. They are demanding/extorting Republicans to extend tax credits on Obamacare that were due to expire on Dec. 31 and they are having a tantrum at the expense of Americans until they get their way.

So let me get this right. Democrats, without one Republican vote, passed Obamacare, which they claimed would lower the cost of health care premiums by $2,500 a year. During COVID, Democrats, without Republicans, passed a law that gave additional tax subsidies toward Obamacare recipients because not only were people not saving $2,500 a year, they were actually seeing massive increases. These same Democrats, without Republicans, put a deadline on the additional tax subsidies of Dec. 31, 2025. In essence, Democrats created Obamacare, approved and passed ADDITIONAL subsidies during a pandemic where your chances of surviving were 99.5%, and Democrats placed a deadline to end the subsidies for the end of this year.

Now that they are in the minority, they are demanding/extorting Republicans to extend the subsidies for the health care plan that they created that was supposed to save everyone money because if we don’t extend the subsidies premiums will skyrocket. The additional irony is that when Republicans forced a government shutdown, it was Republicans’ fault, and now that the Democrats are forcing the shutdown, it’s still the Republicans’ fault?

Is there something I’m missing?

P.S. I just got my renewal and my premium for myself and my wife will be almost $2,600 a month with a $6,500 deductible each. Still waiting for that $2,500 a year savings President Barack Obama.

But hey, at least I have maternity coverage.
