The Kennedy Center is the culture center for the whole nation, named after the late President John F. Kennedy.
It has thrived for many years in good faith and grace trying to bring the culture of many artists to this magnificent venue. The National Symphony Orchestra, touring Broadway musicals and dance troupes have all been affected by the Donald Trump takeover (as chairman) of the Kennedy Center.
Many of the artists are boycotting the Kennedy Center because of the Trump takeover.
Now Trump has taken it over to emulate his image and stoke his ego by renaming the center after himself. Since the Trump takeover ticket sales have plummeted. The Kennedy Center is meant to be a beacon for the arts of America across the country. Broadway tours are choosing to play elsewhere, not at the Kennedy Center due to the takeover of Trump.
The Kennedy Center has faithfully celebrated artists of all backgrounds, and the takeover of Trump has infringed on the artists’ backgrounds. With the controversial takeover of the Kennedy Center by Trump, the future of the Kennedy Center is in jeopardy.
