In re: “Low Income Hamburglary,” Lois Eisenberg, letters, Dec. 9:

Do you think that the cost of anything/everything in states like California that are totally run by Democrats have anything at all to do with the huge business taxes, high minimum wages and ridiculous regulations that businesses have to deal with?

The sole purpose, not to mention the legal duty of any corporation, is to make money for the owners/investors without whom there would be no business and no jobs. 

Liberals always hate this but it is true nonetheless: Businesses do not pay taxes. They collect taxes from their customers and the higher their taxes and costs of doing business, the higher the cost of their products or services to their customers. Simple math!
