A 34-year-old Canyon Country man was arrested on suspicion of receiving known stolen property and loitering and possession of burglary tools while Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies were patrolling the area of Crossglade Avenue and Soledad Canyon Road on Monday afternoon, according to an official with the station.
Around 4:30 p.m., patrol deputies observed a man loitering on private property and, upon contact, the suspect was found in possession of a stolen bicycle, burglary tools, pieces of cut copper wire, and multiple key fobs that did not belong to him, according to an email statement from Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the station.
Deputies arrested the suspect on suspicion of felony charges of receiving known stolen property and misdemeanor charges of loitering and possession of burglary tools. He remains in custody with no bail as of the publication of this story, Miller’s statement said.
