A 38-year-old Canyon Country woman has been arrested on suspicion of felony child neglect after she allegedly left her 3-year-old child at home on the 18000 block of Danielson Street on Sunday evening, according to an official with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The incident was at approximately 7 p.m. and the child was reportedly later found outside near the street, according to an email statement from Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the station.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of felony child neglect charges, Miller’s statement said.
The child was released to the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, according to the statement.
The suspect remains in custody on no bail as of the publication of this story, Miller’s statement said.
