A 45-year-old Santa Clarita man was arrested on suspicion of felony charges of false imprisonment and criminal threats on Sunday morning, according to an official from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The suspect and the victim, an adult woman, are married. The suspect allegedly threatened to harm the victim, according to an email statement from Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the station.
When the victim attempted to leave the residence, the suspect physically blocked the front door, preventing her from exiting, Miller’s statement said.
The suspect remains in custody with a bail set at $50,000, the statement said.
