A 23-year-old Newhall woman was arrested on suspicion of felony assault and misdemeanor battery after she was involved in a verbal argument that turned into a physical altercation on the 24300 block of Lyons Avenue in Newhall on Saturday night, according to an email statement from Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The incident was reported around 9:50 p.m. and involved two women, Miller’s statement said.
The location is an adult residential care facility, according to Miller’s statement.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of felony charges of assault and misdemeanor charges of battery, the statement said.
The victim declined medical treatment, according to the statement.
The suspect is being held in custody with no bail, according to Miller’s statement.
