A 38-year-old Santa Clarita transient has been arrested on suspicion of identity theft and misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance in the area of Swan Lane and Via Princessa in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to an official with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Deputies responded to a call regarding a suspicious vehicle near a public park. Upon contact, the vehicle’s occupant was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, as well as multiple credit cards, identification cards and passports belonging to different individuals, according to an email statement from Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the station.
He was arrested on suspicion of felony charges of identity theft and a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance, the statement said. Additionally, he was found to have outstanding warrants for petty theft and disorderly conduct, according to Miller.
