Deputies: Man, woman arrested on suspicion of burglary

A 25-year-old Lancaster man and 28-year-old Rosamond woman were arrested on suspicion of burglary after a Feb.15 incident at a business on the 25000 block of Avenue Stanford in Valencia, according to an official with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. 

The business that was targeted could not be named at the time of this publication due to a pending investigation, according to Sgt. Juan Muralles with the station during a follow-up phone interview Thursday. 

The suspects entered the business and stole miscellaneous employee checks, gift cards, credit cards, and a printer, and the stolen credit cards were fraudulently used for transactions totaling over $4,000, according to an email statement from Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the station. 

Detectives conducted an investigation and identified the two suspects involved, and the Special Assignment Team arrested the suspects in Lancaster, the statement said.  

The man was arrested on suspicion of felony burglary and violation of probation, and he remains in custody with no bail, according to the statement. 

The woman was arrested on suspicion of felony burglary charges and subsequently bonded out on Wednesday, according to the statement.
