The California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section has released its all-CIF list for girls’ basketball 2025-26 season with six local Santa Clarita Valley players earning the honor across multiple divisions.
The following were recognized in their respective divisions:
Division 1:
- Kamilla Basyrova, sophomore, Valencia.
- Cara McKell, senior, Valencia.
Kamila Basyrova and Cara McKell are the two selections to represent the Valencia girls’ basketball team after a strong 2025-26 campaign from the Vikings.
During the regular season, the Vikings claimed the Foothill League title with a 12-0 record and took that momentum throughout the Southern Section playoffs.
The Vikings ended the Southern Section playoffs as finalists in the Division 1 bracket following a loss to the La Salle Lancers of Pasadena.
The season came to an end for Valencia after the Vikings fell to the Centennial Huskies of Corona in the first round of the Division 1 state playoffs.
Basyrova ended the year breaking her own single-season 3-point record at Valencia High School with 115 threes on 44% shooting, passing the previous mark of 94.
As for McKell, the senior guard is committed to continuing her academic and athletic career at Westmont College in Santa Barbara.

Division 2:
- EvaMaria Rios, senior, Saugus.
- Jasmine Garcia, senior, Saugus.
The Centurions had two selections in EvaMaria Rios and Jasmine Garica, two players who led the program to a historic season.
Garcia and Rios led the Centurions to the program’s most-ever wins in a single season with 27 and ended the Southern Section playoffs as Division 2 finalists following a loss to Crescenta Valley.
After the Southern Section playoffs, the Centurions’ season continued into the state playoffs where the team won three games and ended the year as SoCal regional finalist following a loss to St. Joseph of Santa Maria.
Garcia is committed to continuing her academic and athletic career at California Lutheran University while Rios is set to continue her career at the College of the Canyons and play for the Cougars.

Division 3:
- Darby Dunn, sophomore, Canyon.
Following a quarterfinalist finish in the Division 3 Southern Section playoffs, Dunn is the lone selection for the Cowboys after leading Canyon to two playoff wins.
In both wins, Dunn combined for 54 points, including a 37-point performance against the Vista Murrieta Broncos in the second round.
During the regular season, Dunn made history in the Santa Clarita Valley as she became the first sophomore ever to eclipse the 1,000-career point mark in a win over Golden Valley during January.

Division 9:
- Eva Banke, sophomore, Santa Clarita Christian.
Banke, who earned her first-ever selection, led the Cardinals to two playoff wins in the first and second rounds of the Division 9 Southern Section playoffs.
After the season, Banke ended the year as a first-team selection for the Heritage League and is the program’s first all-CIF honoree since 2017.
