Jonathan Kraut, you write of President Donald Trump, Iran’s Islamic regime, and war with Iran, as if you know enough to speak with any sense of expertise or authority.

My family is from Iran. My parents emigrated from Iran. I can tell you this with confidence, Mr. Kraut, that neither you, nor most Americans, know or understand enough about that country and its culture to even think about them. Yes, you’re that much out of your depth on this one.

As for your closing arguments, they have much more to do with your pathological angst with Trump than they have to do with what Iran’s current regime does for a living or the deplorable conditions for a commoner in that country. You also seem unwilling to make the sacrifices needed to clean up a regional mess that affects the whole world.

That being said, Iran’s current regime must and will be taken out, and it will be replaced with a dictatorship that is friendly to U.S. interests, which will be a win-win for Americans and Iranians alike.

So people like you can talk all they want about this particular matter, but those who are really “in the know” on Iran will be wondering how you can speak with such arrogance.
