I read this morning’s column (March 25) by Gary Horton: “When Unthinkable Becomes Sayable.” He says he “didn’t flinch” when he found himself in a discussion that included the necessity to nuke Iran. I’m impressed. If I didn’t know any better I would say that Gary Horton is evolving, and I for one am very glad to see it. It means there’s hope.
Certain realities do indeed do things to people. They reduce them to “black and white clarity,” even liberals like Gary Horton. Welcome to the club, Gary. We saved a seat for you.
