This is a response to a column from Mr. Jonathan Kraut (May 19). I thought I was reading a letter from our enemy. Yes, there certainly is a cost of going to war. Question is, why did we have to go to war in the first place? People with short memories forget that it was President Barack Obama who gave billions in CASH to Iran.
After years of Iran developing their nuclear material to make a bomb, the U.S. needed to stop them as they were about to rain hell on their neighbor Israel and the USA. Some on the left don’t see that as a problem.
The cost of NOT doing anything would be catastrophic. As this war goes on, only Iran is going to suffer the most. In a few days their oil wells will stop producing oil. Not for a short time, but forever. We on the other hand will suffer a very short term of pain for the sake of world peace. You have to ask yourself, is it worth it?
