I often disagree with many of your opinion columnists, sometimes to the point of writing and sharing my disagreement. Sometimes I think you publish your columnists for their diverse viewpoints, other times for the entertainment of “stirring the pot.”
But this time, I must take serious issue with your own editorial (May 9).
Your endorsement and support for Pilar Schiavo is shameful.
While you admit that you disagree on “big issues,” you think that she has shown us preferential treatment and therefore deserves a pass on all the problems that she supports and votes for that are destroying California?
The problems in Chiquita are not solved and probably not anytime soon. But you think that she is the unique politician to solve it? Excessive taxation, welfare corruption, abortion, incapable of defining what a woman is, racial profiling of voting districts and a host of governmental evils is what Schiavo supports and votes for.
But you think she’s the only one who can solve the stink in Chiquita?
I’ll have to start holding my nose when I read The Signal.
