Larry Moore | Useless and Offensive Terms

Every year dictionary companies add and delete words/phrases from the lexicography. Words are added because they are meaningful and add new depth to the language. Words are deleted because they are outdated, have no real meaning, or are offensive. The following is my partial list of words/phrases that should be deleted and my reasoning.

People of color: Unless you are talking about people in a rainbow of colors, I find this phrase tired, overused, and counterproductive. If we want a truly colorblind world, refer to others merely as people.

Big tent: This phrase is useful in an REI or Coleman catalogue. For Democrats to use it as an excuse to allow communists into their party, it is weak and offensive.

Robust: This is a great term to describe the nudes of Peter Paul Reubens. It is useless as a means of describing Joe Biden’s vetting process of illegal aliens or the background of Eric Swalwell.

Affordability: If I hear this worn-out Democratic buzzword one more time! If you can’t afford something, work hard and save your money.

Palestine: Let’s be clear, there is no country of Palestine. When liberals chant, “Free Palestine,” they might as well be chanting, “Free Babylon.”

Oligarch: An oligarch is a ruler. The last time I checked, there are only elected officials in the U.S., not oligarchs.

Gestapo: The Gestapo ended with the death of Nazi Germany.

Tax the rich: The Democrats’ solution to every problem begins with the word tax. Have they ever heard of the word “reduce”? As in reduce waste, fraud and abuse.

White privilege: See No. 1.

Income inequality: Unless you believe in pure communism (to each, from each), you would never expect a doctor to have the same income as a fast food worker.

Woke: For some words, there are better alternatives. Instead of using woke, try idiotic. See what I mean?

Just think of a world without these words/phrases. What a wonderful world it would be.
