Denise Lite is a family advocate attorney and a longtime resident of the Santa Clarita Valley who is running for City Council District 2.
She brings to this race qualities that I believe are essential in public service: loyalty, courage, honesty, integrity and a willingness to speak up when it matters.
Denise Lite is not afraid to ask difficult questions, challenge the status quo, or ruffle a few feathers when she believes the community’s interests are at stake. She understands that effective representation means listening to the residents and standing up for their concerns — not simply accepting business as usual or allowing the interests of big business to overshadow the needs of the people who live in our beautiful city.
Courageous leadership does not mean seeking conflict, but it does mean having the ability to face disagreement and difficult issues honestly, fairly and wisely. Denise has demonstrated that she is willing to do exactly that.
Her long history in the SCV, combined with her values and commitment to the community, makes her someone I believe will bring a strong and independent voice to District 2.
