I’m proud and privileged to have an opportunity to write a tribute to Dolly Parton, who was an extraordinary woman. Dolly had a great insight on how to treat people. Dolly was a great singer and songwriter. In addition, she personified decency, compassion, caring, courage, empathy, ethics, integrity and morals in addition to being a good human being. Dolly showed us how to be a decent human being and how an American could and should live.
Dolly was one of 12 children born into poverty, living in a one-room cabin in rural Tennessee. Dolly emerged from this heartbreaking poverty and never forgot her upbringing. Dolly became a noted philanthropist.
She: Donated to help millions of less fortunate with their education; advocacy for the LGBTGQ community, helped fund the Moderna vaccine; donated millions of books to children; fought for marriage equality; was a literacy promoter; women’s advocate; actress; businesswoman; book publisher; TV producer; theme park owner; music icon; entrepreneur; actress.
Dolly was a lovely lady from “head to toe.” *Dolly had a lovely head of blond hair, wigs included, and eyes of blue. Dolly had a voluptuous figure, to say the least.
Dolly was petite but “carried a big stick,” and took this “big stick,” and did nothing but good things with it.
In closing this tribute to Dolly Parton, who again was an outstanding human being, her song, “I Will Always Love You” says it all about Dolly and the love that was shown to her and the respect that was shown to her.
