For the past four years at the Saugus Union School District, Anna Griese has been what we all hope an elected official will be: an accessible, approachable leader who takes the time to listen to her community and represent their concerns.
When teachers and staff were seemingly ignored by the previous administration, Anna was the board member who continually brought their concerns to the boardroom. While other board members focused on the awards and accolades, Anna was listening and talking to the boots on the ground to understand their daily struggles and find solutions. When staff feared retaliation, Anna advocated for them, shining a light on the issues until workable solutions began to take shape.
Anna knows that parents need to know their children are in a safe environment when they are dropped off at school. She knows that SUSD has exceptional teachers and staff, and that they thrive when they know their students are safe. And she knows that students perform at their best when they feel safe, supported, and heard. Restoring that environment has been at the forefront of her mission over the past several years.
Anna continues to be the leading voice on the SUSD board for safety in the classroom for teachers, staff and families.
She is the board member who listens to your concerns and then fights for you and your children. Re-electing Anna Griese as trustee for Area 2 of the Saugus Union School District is the smart choice.
