Leftists say that love for Donald Trump on the right is the real problem in our nation, not Trump hate on the left.

Others say both are a problem.

But let’s consider. It’s certainly not an equal problem. Recent polling shows that roughly 38% to 41% of Americans approve of Donald Trump, while about 50% to 57% express negative or strongly disapproving views.

And even more to the point, hatred is more poisonous than love. It’s also more prevalent on the left. Obama was loved on the left more than Trump is loved on the right, and yet right wingers didn’t shoot Obama or hold his severed head up on national TV.

So perhaps leftists can stop worrying about their neighbors’ love, and fix their own house, because it’s a hateful, violent, and self-destructive mess.

One last note. The left’s negative obsession over Trump’s personality, like its positive obsession over Obama’s personality, is the root of so much destruction in our nation, because policies matter far more than personalities.

And that’s why leftist policies are so bad; they’re wrongly focused, with deleterious results. They spitefully tear down America just as much as they would tear down a perfectly good ballroom. Moreover, this is why, even with the destruction, such policies still receive voting support from the obsessives.

In shorthand, it’s feelz over factz.
