USPS will not deliver mail on Columbus Day

USPS post worker.
The United States Postal Service will halt its regular mail delivery service Oct. 10 in observance of Columbus Day. Priority Mail Express will be delivered during the holiday, but regular mail to homes, business and Post Office Boxes will not.  Retail lobbies in Post Offices will also be closed Oct. 10. The U.S.P.S. will continue its normal, scheduled mail pick-ups during the holiday at its Post Office lobby mail drops and blue collection boxes. U.S.P.S. is advising businesses and individuals to deposit outgoing mail before posted pick-up times. Businesses generating a large volume of mail or packages are encouraged to contact their postmaster in advance to make arrangements. Post Office locations with Automated Postal Center kiosks will be available for customers to purchase stamps, weight and post mail and ship packages.
